Legal action against illegal foreign nationals after January 31

The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that foreign nationals residing illegally in Bangladesh will face legal action after January 31.

In a warning issued on Thursday, the ministry highlighted that numerous foreign nationals are currently residing and working without proper documentation in the country.

As part of efforts to address this issue, the ministry has urged all foreign nationals residing or working illegally to regularize their status by submitting the necessary documentation before the January 31 deadline.

Additionally, the ministry has called on relevant departments and institutions to offer the necessary support in facilitating the process for these individuals.

The notice emphasized that if the deadline is not met, legal measures will be taken against both the illegal residents and the institutions that employ them.
