12 districts get new SPs

As part of the ongoing transfers and reshuffling of various police units, 12 new police superintendents (SPs) have been appointed in different districts of the country.

On Wednesday, a notification signed by Abu Sayeed, Deputy Secretary of the Police-1 Branch at the Ministry of Home Affairs, announced the transfer orders.

According to the notification, Abu Sayem, the SP of the Police Headquarters has been transferred to the position of SP of Rangpur.

Abu Sayem Pradhan, the Commandant (Police Superintendent) of the In-Service Training Center in Gaibandha, has been appointed as Police Superintendent of Chittagong.

Kazi Akhtar Ul Alam, the SP of PBI, has been transferred as SP of Mymensingh.

Zakir Hossain, the SP of the Special Branch (SB) of Bangladesh Police, has been moved to Dinajpur as SP, while Sharif Uddin, the Police Superintendent of PBI, has been appointed as SP of Barisal.

Farzana Islam, the SP of SB, has been transferred as SP of Rajshahi.

Additionally, Dr Chowdhury Zaber Sadeque, SP of the Police Headquarters, has been assigned as the SP of Gazipur.

Yeasmin Khatun, SP of the Anti-Terrorism Unit in Dhaka, has been moved to Manikganj, and Nishat Angella, the SP of the APBn Headquarters, has been appointed as SP of Gaibandha.

Aslam Shahzada, SP of the Dhaka Range DIG Office, will now serve as the SP of Habiganj, while Ehteshamul Haque, SP of PBI, has been transferred to Brahmanbaria.

Lastly, Mohammad Safiul Sarwar, the Special Superintendent of SB, has been appointed as the SP of Naogaon.

This order, issued in the public interest, is effective immediately.
