Warrants issued for ex-MP, 4 police officers for burning bodies in Ashulia during uprising

The International Crimes Tribunal has issued arrest warrants for former Dhaka-19 MP Saiful Islam and four police officers in connection with the burning of six bodies during the July uprising in Ashulia.
On Tuesday, following a hearing on the prosecution’s application, the tribunal, led by Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumdar, passed the order.
Earlier, on September 11, two separate charges were filed against 70 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the burning and killing of six people during student protests in Ashulia, Savar.
Advocate Muhammad Huzzatul Islam Khan, representing the victim's family, filed the case with the investigation agency of the International Crimes Tribunal.
