Fire engulfs carton factory in Chittagong

A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a six-story building housing a carton factory in Chittagong on Saturday.

Upon receiving the news, eight fire service units arrived at the scene to work on controlling the fire.

The fire started around 6:15pm at the Unity Accessories factory near the Bepza Gate in the EPZ.

The fire service has not yet been able to determine the cause of the fire.

Kafil Uddin, the officer in charge of the control room at Chittagong Fire Service, said: "Eight fire service units have arrived at the scene and are working to control the fire."

Mohammad Abdul Malek, Assistant Director of Chittagong Fire Service, said: "The cause of the fire will be determined later. After receiving the news, eight fire service units have arrived at the scene and are working to control the fire. We still do not know the cause of the fire."
