The Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on Saturday said that Bangladesh seeks good relations with all countries based on respect and equality.
He emphasized that the government is working towards this goal.
He made these remarks during two separate exchange meetings with officials, journalists, politicians, and intellectuals in Raipura and Belabo upazilas of Narsingdi.
Touhid Hossain said that Bangladesh has sent a clear message to India, expressing a desire for good relations, but based on mutual interests.
He highlighted that intense propaganda is being spread against Bangladesh, which he believes is part of a broader conspiracy.
He said that the government is making efforts to counter this, engaging in dialogue with those willing to listen.
He added that the people of Bangladesh are now more united, and no major actions can be taken against them.
He further said that their government has been entrusted with responsibilities in the current situation of student and public movements.
After certain reforms, they aim to hold fair and impartial elections, after which political power will be handed over to elected leaders.
