The use of fireworks, crackers, and sky lanterns is strictly prohibited in the Dhaka metropolitan area.
All bars within the city will remain closed from 6pm on December 31 to 8am on January 1.
Residential hotels may host limited events, provided they are managed internally.

Residents of Gulshan, Banani, and Baridhara are requested to return to their neighbourhoods by 8pm on December 31. Outsiders will be restricted from entering these areas after this time. Residents may enter only through Kamal Ataturk Avenue (Kakoli Crossing) or Mohakhali Amtali Crossing with proper identification.
No gatherings or events are allowed in Hatirjheel after 6pm. Parking or stopping vehicles in this area is also prohibited.
Non-residents are discouraged from visiting Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, and Dhaka University areas for security reasons.
