ACC to investigate 234C loan against chotpoti shop, restaurants

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to investigate allegations of irregularities involving a Tk234 crore loan disbursed by First Security Islami Bank against a chotpoti shop and two restaurants in Chittagong, operated under Nawroz Enterprise.
ACC Director General (Prevention) Md Akhtar Hossain disclosed the information during a briefing on Wednesday.
The ACC official said: “Intelligence reports indicate that S Alam Group Chairman and First Security Islami Bank owner Saiful Alam Masud is involved in the Tk234 crore loan fraud involving the chotpoti shop and restaurants.”
He added: “After verifying and evaluating preliminary evidence, the ACC has decided to investigate the matter against those responsible.”
