The clash between students of Dhaka College and City College in the capital's Science Lab area, stemming from a bus attack and vandalism incident, has yet to subside.
The altercation, which began around 3pm on Wednesday, is still ongoing.
As of 4:30pm, the confrontation had continued for over two hours.
Police and military personnel are working to bring the situation under control.
On-site observations reveal that City College students have positioned themselves on the road in front of their college, while Dhaka College students are stationed at the Science Lab intersection.
Periodically, they chase and hurl stones at each other, shouting slogans.
Police and military personnel are attempting to pacify both sides.
Dhaka College students allege that City College students attacked and vandalized their college bus at the Science Lab intersection.
