Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 627 cases and fined Tk 26,78,000 in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
The cases were filed and fines imposed on October 5, said a DMP notification on Sunday (October 6).
During the drive, a total of 167 vehicles were impounded and 55 others towed.
These drives will continue to bring discipline to Dhaka's streets, says the notification.
