BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has reaffirmed that individuals involved in mass killings or criminal activities will not be accepted into the BNP, emphasizing the party’s strict stance against such affiliations.
He made these comments on Tuesday while distributing winter clothing to 2,000 underprivileged individuals at the Thakurgaon Press Club.
Responding to questions from journalists, he said: “There are clear party directives—those involved in mass killing will not be allowed into the BNP.”
When asked about reports of Awami League leaders joining BNP in various districts, Fakhrul replied: “I am not aware of such developments. However, as per Tarique Rahman’s instructions, no one involved in terrorism, genocide, or corruption will be accepted into BNP.”
Addressing the nation’s challenges of corruption and authoritarianism, Fakhrul said: “The solution lies in establishing democracy and restoring governance to the people. The country must be run through a parliament elected by the people. I see no other way.”
