Another burn victim dies in Bhashantek gas cylinder blast

A burn victim in the gas cylinder explosion in Bhashantek area in Dhaka died while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Tuesday morning.
The deceased is Md Liton, 52.
With this the death toll rose to three.
The burn institute’s resident doctor Md Tariqul Islam said that 67% of Liton's body was burnt.
Earlier, his wife Surya Banu, 40, died Monday evening with 82% burns on her body.
Before that, on Saturday night, Surya Banu's mother Meherunnessa, 70, died with 47% burns on her body.
Liton and Surya’s three children, Liza, 15, Lamia, 7, and Susan, 8, are currently undergoing treatment.
Doctors warned that their condition was critical.
Six members of a family, including women and children, sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in Bhashantek area in Dhaka on Friday.
They were rescued and admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute.
Bhashantek police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Borhan Uddin had said: "The accident took place in the shanty town of Shyamalbangla residential area in Bhashantek. Because the room was accumulating gas as the cylinder leaked, an exposition took place on Friday morning due to the lighting of a mosquito coil."
