First namaz-e-janaza of Hassan Ariff held in Dhanmondi

The first namaz-e-janaza for the interim government's Adviser for Aviation and Tourism and Land, AF Hassan Ariff, has been held.

Distinguished individuals from the country, including Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, attended the prayer.  

The namaz-e-janaza was conducted on Friday after the Isha prayers at Baitul Aman Mosque in Dhanmond.

Senior Information Officer Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin confirmed the matter. 

Another namaz-e-janaza will be held at 11am on Saturday, on the premises of the High Court, he added.  

Meanwhile, the Chief Adviser's Press Wing has said that a decision regarding the burial will be made after his daughter, who is currently abroad, returns to the country. She is scheduled to arrive on Sunday at 10:30pm.

Earlier on Friday, at around 3:30pm, AF Hassan Ariff passed away due to a heart attack at Labaid Hospital in the capital.
