The Chairman of the Jatiya Party, Ghulam Muhammed Quader, said that controlling the prices of essentials should be the top priority.

He mentioned that due to inflation, daily commodities are becoming unaffordable.

On the other hand, the imposition of VAT on over 100 products and services has made people's lives unbearable.

In a statement sent to the media on Monday, the Jatiya Party Chairman addressed the interim government, saying there has been much discussion about elections and reforms, but no one seems to be concerned about people's lives and livelihoods.

The lines in front of the TCB trucks are growing longer day by day.

Now, even decent dressed people are standing in line for hours to buy rice and lentils at low prices.

Due to the shortage of supply, many return home empty-handed, unable to buy products from the trucks.

For the common people, buying fish, meat, milk, and eggs has become like a nightmare.

Parents are unable to meet the expectations of their children and family members.

The common people cannot afford necessary medical treatment or life-saving medicines.

In such circumstances, the government's most important task is to bring the prices of essentials within the reach of the common people.

In the statement, Ghulam Muhammed Quader emphasized that the Jatiya Party works for the welfare of the people.

He assured that they will continue to speak for the people's pain and suffering.

He called for controlling commodity prices to be given the highest priority and hoped the government would take swift and effective action on this matter.
