Khaleda Zia to depart for London for treatment Tuesday

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to leave for London at 10pm on Tuesday.
An air ambulance provided by Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will transport her.
The air ambulance is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Monday evening.
At a press conference held at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Monday, BNP Standing Committee Member and Khaleda Zia's personal physician, Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, shared this information.
Dr Zahid Hossain said that upon arriving at the London airport, Khaleda Zia will be directly taken to a hospital. The subsequent steps for her treatment will be decided after initial consultations with the medical team.
He added: “After her arrival in London, she will be welcomed by BNP’s acting chairman and her son Tarique Rahman, along with her daughter-in-law Zubaida Rahman. They will escort her to London Hospital, an old and reputed healthcare facility, where she will be admitted. Doctors there will conduct tests and provide recommendations for the next phase of her treatment.”
Dr Zahid Hossain also mentioned that six doctors from the medical board, along with other officials, will accompany Khaleda Zia on the trip.
