Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam said the victory of 2024 has brought completeness to Bangladesh’s independence.
“Although independence was achieved in 1971, it remained unprotected.”
He made the comments on Monday while speaking to journalists at the National Martyrs’ Memorial in Savar.
Wishing the nation a joyous Victory Day, he said: "Through the victory of 2024, the people are experiencing the true taste of freedom in a country liberated from Awami League fascism."
Adviser Nahid Islam paid tribute to all the martyrs of the great Liberation War and the July uprising and expressed his firm commitment to building a new Bangladesh free from fascism and imperialism.
