The Meteorological Department has reported that a mild cold wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Naogaon, and Kushtia districts, as well as the Rangpur division.

This information was revealed in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours, starting from 9am on Friday.

According to the forecast, moderate to dense fog may occur across the country from midnight to morning and in some areas, it may persist until noon.

The dense fog could temporarily disrupt air travel, inland water transport and road communication.

Night temperatures across the country may increase slightly, while daytime temperatures in the western regions may rise by 1 to 3°C.

Elsewhere in the country, temperatures are expected to remain almost unchanged.

Due to dense fog, a chilly sensation may prevail during the day in some areas.

The forecast also mentioned that the weather across the country may remain dry with partly cloudy skies.

On Thursday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 25.5°C in Sylhet, and on Friday the lowest temperature is expected to be 8.3°C in Tetulia.

At 6am, the relative humidity in Dhaka was 91% on Friday.
