The fire that broke out at a building behind Sattola slum in the capital's Mohakhali area on Saturday afternoon has been extinguished.
"The fire broke out on the second floor of the building around 4:10pm," said Rozina Akter, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.
"On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 4:50pm," she added.
"The origin of the fire and the extent of the damages were not immediately known," she further said.
