Reception held at Bangabhaban for Bir Shrestho family members

A grand reception was given to the family members of the Bir Shrestho freedom fighters at Bangabhaban on Monday afternoon on the occasion of Victory Day.

The Bir Shrestho, the highest military award in Bangladesh, was awarded to seven freedom fighters who had shown utmost bravery and died in action for their nation. 

President Mohammed Shahabuddin extended his greetings to the members of their families during the reception.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and First Lady Dr Rebeka Sultana hosted a reception at Bangabhaban on Monday, marking Bangladesh’s 54th Victory Day.

At the time, remembering the contribution of the Bir Shrestho freedom fighters in the Liberation War with gratitude, the president said their contribution will be forever remembered by the nation.
