At least 40 people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in various crimes in the city's Mohammadpur area.
Mohammadpur police arrested them in a special drive on Saturday (January 11) in areas including Rayer Bazar, Board Ghat, Nabinagar Housing, Chand Udyan and Dhaka Udyan, said Tejgaon Division deputy commissioner Ibne Mizan.
He said that during the drive, police recovered illegal drugs and various domestic weapons.
