Earthquake shakes Dhaka, Sylhet, other parts of Bangladesh

An earthquake was felt in Dhaka, Sylhet, and various parts of Bangladesh on Friday morning.
The epicenter was reported to be in neighboring Myanmar, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
Rubayet Kabir, acting officer of the Earthquake Observation and Research Center, said the tremor was recorded at 10:32am with a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter was located 482 kilometres from Dhaka in Myanmar, affecting areas in the northeastern region, including Sylhet and its surroundings, Kabir added.
